In the images with the annotation “in Melzer’s” the granular and guttulate contents of the spores are easily visible. This is not usually the case in Melzer’s Reagent. This raises the possiblity that either the Melzer’s was old or weak or that the spores may not be amyloid.
It seems to me that I saw this species many years ago in Tlaxcala, but it either didn’t make it to a dryer or was not successfully dried.
We didn’t get to look at the spores.
