Notes: Growing in mix of Douglas Fir litter and moss. Flesh stained pink, then faded to black over the course of 45 minutes.

Recognized by sight: young caps can be really dark and shaggy like this. Partial veil, shaggy stipe. I don’t think Strobilomyces has been recorded from the west
