on siliceous rock; extremely verrucose whitish-brownish crust, K+y (like atranorin), C-, KC-, lecanorine apothecia, brown disk poorly developed in many, reddish epihymenium and hymenium, black-brown amphithecium with algae and POL+white small crystals and sparse large insoluble crystals, all C-, paraphyses branched toward tips and slightly swollen tips; SPORE simple, hyaline, smooth, ~10-12×5µm
