Recognized by sight: mossy, branched gray green fruit bodies on bark

Recognized by sight: Pretty distinctive bushy thing with clumps of very fine branchlets toward the margins. S. venerabilis is similar but the terminal branchlets are less fine and clumped, and the main branches are wrinkly and pitted, and black pycnidia are generally conspicuous. (the last two characters aren’t visible either way in these photos, so I’m basing this entirely on the fine, clumped branchlets)
