Both of the spore micrographs are in Dilute Lugol’s Solution from Home Science Tools.

Print color

Spore print is white

I replaced the image with a new one from a fresh print

I think another mushroom’s spores got into the last images – which I’ve deleted and replaced with a new one. I’ll update print color tomorrow. Thanks for the note!

Microscopic images

If the microscopy is from this specimen, Melanoleuca might not be a good fit. Melanoleuca should all have spores that are ornamented/warty and the cystidia should be “harpoon-like.” It looks like there is contamination, two different types of spores on the slide?
