Substrate: Attached to basalt rock, on north facing slope, about 8 feet in elevation above a creek. Somewhat protected from sun, unprotected from wind.
Habitat: Rocky, open area in ecotone between sagebrush steppe and riparian aspen community.
Description: Difficult to find mature specimen. Abundant in plot. Not found on other substrates.
