Notes: This collection was found at Paul Bishop’s Jones Creek Tree Farm, Beavercreek,Clackamas Co., OR. In this mature state, Gymnomyces brunnescens can be positively identified by odor along. This one smelled like grapefruit lifesaver. Gymnomyces is the recent genus name applied to many of the former genus Martellia. Thus Gymnomyces brunnescens used to be known as Martellia brunnescens.
