Observation 95721: Morchella tridentina Bres.
When: 2012-05-26
Who: BlueCanoe
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Growing as a minority component (<1%) of individual Morchella ascocarps in a few slightly wetter sites; not observed at other Morchella locations. Other morels are probably all M. snyderi, although it is possible some are M. brunnea or other elata-clade species. Mid-elevation mixed-conifer forests, no hardwoods present. White balance calibrated using gray card.

two “blonde” elata-clade surrounded by “black” elata-clade (likely M. snyderi)
these specimens could be either M. frustrata or M. snyderi; difficult to tell at such a young age
