Brought to the OMS monthly meeting yesterday by a member who left the meeting early. The collecting site is uncertain; the only information I have from the people who were at the table when these mushrooms were brought in is that they come from the Trout Lake area.

The specimens were starting to decay, so we didn’t save them. I’m posting these poor pictures because A. vernicoccora is not a usual find here.

sure looks like vernicoccora to me. more photographic evidence that it does indeed occur in the PNW.
