Found fruiting exclusively from Hickory nut?

I have found four fruitbodies total for this species, each one when dug up carfully was found to be emerging from this type of nut (shown). Not sure what kind of nut this is, trees in the viscinity include Eastern Black Walnut, American Beech, pignut Hickory, Yellow poplar, Sweetgum, and possibly several others that I am not able to identify.
