not always less cupulate/more flattened & wavy. all those I’ve seen are less cupulate/more flattened & wavy.

All the identifications are correct!

It belongs to Fungi and Pezizales and I am sure it is Aleuria aurantia. Everybody is correct! If you did not see cupulate A. aurantia have a look at Trudell & Ammirati, p. 286.

I am saying nothing about others…

I am simply saying that based on the evidence that I’ve seen, I think Aleuria aurantia is a reasonable possibility. I take it that either you or Oluna (but I can’t tell which) disagree with that and that’s fine. I’d just like to know what the evidence is. I do disagree with Danny’s implication that A. aurantia is always less cupulate and more flattened/wavy that this is image shows.

Do you want to suggest that Oluna would not recognize Aleuria aurantia? Give me a break! Adolf

Just look young to me…

It would of course be interesting to see the microscopy, but these look fairly typical of your Aleuria aurantia to me.

the most cupulate, least flattened/wavy A. aurantia I’ve seen, but I trust you’ve checked and double checked.
