Observation 97099: Cortinarius subgenus Phlegmacium (Fr.) Fr.

These were brought into the Class on the first day so were most likely collected in the immediate area of the Camp.
Caps were up to 10.6 cm across. Flesh was whitish and firm.
The spores were ~ 9.9-12.0 X 6.9-7.1 microns,Q(ave.) = 1.58), and sl. rough.
Taste was mild and with no strong odor.
KOH on cap neg.
KOH on flesh was yellow.
Has a “Chunky Cort” aura but no name so far?
