dark gills for a Gymnopus. I’ve seen them nearly black in alkalivirens. Alkali doesn’t react on pileus of spongiosus or semihirtipes, but I wasn’t specific about that.
Or any other alkali? Did you try some? It’s myco-eye candy when it turns green.
