Notes: The mushroom was found beside Wild Plum Road near where it crosses North Yuba River growing on soil surrounded by small fir sapplings.

Used references: Index Fungorum lists Inocybe stellatospora (Peck) Massee as the current name used and Inocybe longicystis as a synonym.
Based on microscopic features: Thin-walled elongated pleurocystidia were present. The spores were angular, nodulated and also observed by Dr Desjardin .

are synonyms according to my book. Both MycoBank and IndexFungorum has I. stellatospora as the current name.
