No herbarium specimen

Notes: light olive yellow to olive brown velvety cap. Yellow pores not injuring blue, angular, torn, and broad. Stem finely vertically grooved or striate with red dots and slowly turning faint blue on injury. Flesh and stem context creamy and only staining blue in base of stem. White basal mycelium. Entire fruit drying dingy olive brown, including pores. Unchanging in KOH 5%. With Douglas fir in a second growth forest.
No spore print.

Xerocom(ellus), that includes the red-cracking ones. Weird one though.
