Notes: Fruiting beneath Doug fir in decorative conifer bark.
Initially thought this was S.ambigua from a distance- but with the patches on cap, white gills and collarlike volva this is clearly an Amanita species. Button growing in cluster was distinctly conate, similar to buttons of A.vaginata.
Temp: lower 60’s, mixed rain and sunbreaks.
