2010 was lousy with mushrooms in Alaska. You couldn’t get up offa your knees for all of the photo ops! It did make me a bit nervous though, considering that most of the time we were hunting well-used game trails, and the “game” was formidable!

We were attempting to get to the end of this trail to view a vast plain and the local megafauna, but we never made it! Too many fungal distractions along the way.

Another sharp-eyed MO mycologist spotted these up on another Alaskan cort (obsie put up in error), so I made a unique obsie for this one yesterday. Too many mushrooms to deal with! ;)
