as I thought I knew it. I wish I would have seen your suggestion this morning as I biked past it again today.

on an otherwise smoothly rounded basal bulb are good flavoconia traits. I often find flavoconia with all, or at least most of, the the patches eroded from the cap surface.

A. elongata has a mainly whitish stipe and spores that are slightly more elongated (sighlty larger quotient) than flavoconia.
