Really sharp for such a small specimen. Ian, I am not at all an expert, but have you looked at Gymnopus? There is a wide range of types, but the dark base of stem and delicate stature suggest it.

I did not see any forked gills in the observations above.

Small (LBJ)

3mm cap orange/brown fungi growing on wood. Possibly insufficient info for ID but will load as a recorded fungi for possible ID.
