Observation 98330: Amanita gemmata group

No herbarium specimen

Notes: Fruiting beneath Douglas fir and pine. Grey/brown stem- slightly staining reddish brown where handled.
Patches on cap- grey, not white or fragile as with A.pantherina or other gemmatoid Amanitas. Old specimen dark brown capped- young specimens yellowish brown.
Cap of young specimen distinctly conate compared to other Gemmatoid species in this region.

Temp: mid 60’s, sunny(light precip)
