Melanoleuca verrucipes

The dark warts on the stipe make it easy to identify this Melanoleuca species as M. verrucipes. It seems to have spread all over the wood chips – it is common in the Bay Area (California) but has not been included in David Arora’s editions of Mushroom demystified, just because it was not seen at that time. It also has been spreading through Europe

Looks like Melanoleuca verrucipes. I have only seen it once in my life.
