Lack of decent guides makes many of us (Myself definitely) default to common species that we know when trying to ID something. I wasn’t aware of H. cinnamomea existence until now. I suppose H. tabacina should be more like tobacco – colored, while this one is like cinnamon. Makes sense. One thing to keep in mind, though, photos ##5, 6, 7 are from the different specimen (found on different stick nearby). They’re not as brightly colored as photos ##1, 2, 3, 4, 8.

There is no way this could be Hymenochaete tabacina with such colour – possibly cinnamomea.

Only 5 observations in MO; all vary in appearance by a fairly wide degree. I think yours has the most interesting and varied organelles – bulbs, rings, etc. I am going to look for this.
