Recognized by sight: Old specimen very small found growing in humus in deciduous woods no cup at base that I could see sorry no better picture of the gills, my finger is there for size.

I was out in the woods again today and saw a larger specimen. The cap was pretty much the same and the stalk was more yellow and less decayed so this convinced me of your I.D.
