Observation 98643: Calvatia rubroflava (Cragin) Lloyd
When: 2011-09-10
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Though I’ve been searching long a hard for what these green-sporred stalked puffball look-a-likes might be, I can’t seem to come up with a definite ID. Across this forest area, there were lots of them at various altitudes, from 5,000 to 7,500 feet in altitude. Spore print can be faintly seen occuring on the branch immediately to its right.

I’ve looked at the description in my guide and online plus the few pictures offered here and on Google, and it looks like it could possibly be it. Although the spores are not usually yellow like the descriptions and images show, it is indeed either the correct species or very close. Thank you for that information!
