I understand that there is variability in color, but yours has no yellow whatsoever in the thallus outside the thalline apothecial margins. If you could demonstrate presence of minute concentrations of anthraquinones in the thallus, I would accept C. flavorubescens without reservation. But… [K test should show some red/purple reaction even in the gray if there is any anthraquinone present in the thallus.]

(Of course, I agree it doesn’t look like C. cerina, either, because that one shouldn’t have any yellow even on the margins of the apothecia!)
