Caloplaca is very difficult. You’ve done a great job with yours.

I forgot to mention the habitat in the notes.
It is a bit hard to believe that this is the same species than those in observation 98852. But, this is a highly variable species and so it could be.

At least judging by the flora you’ve presented in your observations. Also note that the photos of C. thallincola on lastdragon clearly show apothecia of the same color as the thallus, while their photos of C. flavescens show notably darker apothecia, as with your observation. Are you ruling C. flavescens out based on other observations? (I haven’t looked at your other observations yet.)
