Observation 98987: Phylloporus arenicola A.H. Sm. & Trappe

Herbarium specimen reported

Notes: Very dark capped gilled bolete-bright yellow gills, not staining blue.
Stem: yellow, with small brownish dots and fibrils(similar to stems of Suillus spp)
Cap: Olive, nearly black-vevety “suede like”.

Not distinctly fruiting in sand dunes- but near F lot beach in sandy soil/moss beneath Madrone and Doug fir.

Temp: 65, raining.
