Observation 99031: Agaricus augustus Fr.
When: 2012-07-02
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Fruiting beneath Douglas fir at entrance to TESC. Largest Prince I have ever seen! Note comparison to my full size patagonia backpack holding full size(32oz.) Nalgene bottle in side pocket. Cap easily two feet in diameter!

Fresh (still in rolled cap) specimen was 14 inches wide. Smelled almond/sugar cooky smell within 20 feet of specimens.

Note: Shaggy veil remnants on young 14 inch capped specimen.
