I’m not quite sure what kind of tree’s they were, definitely deciduous. I was thinking maybe poplar or something similar.

Very unusual to find what appears to be Leccinum scabrum this early in the summer but we have found some fall boletes in the Gifford Pinchot NF also (near Mt.Adams).
I was just wondering if you found it with Birch?
