HABITAT well-lit young hardwood forest at edge of grassy bald; SUBSTRATE Acer bark; ASPECT partly sunny; NOTES thin greenish crust, K+y, C-, KC+o weak, apothecia small thin light brown, thin dark brown rim, exciple of radiating brownish hyphae, epihymenium brownish, hymenium and hypothecium clear, paraphyses simple and clavate with brown caps, asci lecanora-type with IKI-walls; SPORES 8 per ascus, simple, clear, smooth, 10-12 × 8-9 µm
