I am an absolute mycophile: hunting, photographing, studying, logging, databasing, identifying, vouchering, oggling, fondling, and obsessing about fungi in North Seattle and all of gorgeous Washington. I have been absolutely insane about this astounding fifth kingdom since the season of 2008. Since then I have read and collected anything I can get my hands on.
I am a member of the wonderful Puget Sound Mycological Society (http://www.psms.org/), and will be for the rest of my life.
Fungally, my main interests are: Photography, species lists, identification/classification/taxonomy, mycophagy, mycorestoration/mycoremediation, and ecology.
My non-fungal interests include: My wife Liz, animals and animal rights, human rights activism, radical politics, nature, science, oneirology, surface hydrology, singing/music, humor, food, toys, video games, photography, and general crazy stuff.
I am currently shooting with a Canon Powershot SX150. Many of my photos were taken with the Nikon Coolpix L110 & L20, and some with an older Canon A345.
I am on Facebook, and have a 1200+ member fungi photography group with 1000’s of photos from around the world, as well as a Fungi Identification forum of the same size. Feel free to join and/or send me a friend request!
