I would describe myself as an amateur naturalist whose earliest beginnings were in the state parks of central Pennsylvania, where as a small child, I would turn over rocks to catch crayfish. Now age 57, I don’t think I’m very different from that little boy, now learning and finding joy in studying and photographing fungi, wildflowers, insects and other critters in the Blacksburg, Virginia area.
