Hey i’m a mad mushroom man. Been collecting and eating them for about 30 years so i know a little bit about them. I started out at 11 years old when i worked for a cactus and succulent nursery. There was a very old Navajo Woman there that would take me and my friends out in to the woods and collect various native plants for medicine and food and we also seems to collect various types of fungi. She would point them out and say that’s one is poisons or that one good food or that one is good for boils or that one is good for being sick ect.As i grew older I started trying to learn some of their names. New news As of August /10 I am the Owner of 7 acres of very old trees of Oak, hickory, beech and Eastern Hemlock. The last cut in this area was 1909 so i am surounded by old trees. Lots of good mushrooms.
