Male. I like to think of myself as old-growth-like, but very little foliage on top.
Past president, vice-president, and trufflemaster, North American Truffling Society
Past president, Oregon Mycological Society
Cultivator of many saprophytic and mycorrhizal fungi, most of the work done at Paul Bishop’s Jones Creek Tree Farm.
For 12 years had a website selling North American truffles, which I learned to cultivate. Most were harvested from inoculated sites on private property.
Major interests: mycorrhizal fungi, especially hypogeous.
One species novum to my credit: Tuber wheeleri, as well as at least 40 collections identified solely as species novum at this time.
