Perhaps they should play a lottery or a game of pocker, agreeing in advance that the winner will get to name the thing permanently, and the loosers will accept it :-)
This species has been placed in Bacidia, Bilimbia, Mycobilimbia, and Myxobilimbia, and lichenologists can’t agree which is best. Strictly speaking, there are at least a few other (unrelated?) look-alike species. Brodo mentions some under Bacidia sabuletorum, including Mycobilimbia tetramera.
