Sure felt like a lichen – but I have not seen an ascomata like this one before… !!!

I wasn´t even 100% sure if it was a lichen! It´s so… plant like. Just wow. Unfortunately, I didn´t get to go back to the park to check apothecial margins, :( instead looked for lichens at the Hospital Publico in Puerto Iguazu to no avail. So L. phyllocarpum seems good fit, doesn´t seem to have isidia, nor super wrinkly apothecial margins.
And, from Nash´s account in Sonoran Flora, looks like there´s a good chance we´ll find it in the Sierra Madre Occidental at mid elevations on oaks… :) !!
