Is this at a lab or do you own it? Did you buy it new or used? One idea for your observation would be to link to GenBank. Also as an unrelated comment: Have you looked at MycoMap? Stephen Russell has some very interesting things in development.

These micrographs were taken with a Meiji scope and a DSLR adapter. They would look a lot nicer if I had adjusted the contrast. All of my sequences do get uploaded to GenBank.

Is this the DIC ‘scope? If not, I need to figure out how to clean my conventional Leica axioplan up or (gasp!) replace an objective. Do you ever put you sequenced material into GenBank? I don’t think there is a high barrier to entry, and it would have a much longer period of usefulness – probably.
