Notes:
In grass under oak, red maple and balsam fir in mixed woods. Cap up to 11 cm., smooth, dry, buff darker over center, broad umbo, white flesh. Gills pallid turning pink, broad, notched to fee. Stem white, 10 cm. × 3 cm., white flesh, stuffed to hollow. Unpleasant odor and taste. Pink spore deposit.
