DNA sequences derived for nrITS and nrLSU have been posted to GenBank.

We obtained DNA from the voucher for this observation several years ago and…

could not resolve the species. The work of Dr. Sanchez Ramirez produced a sequence for the present species from a Texas specimen.

Today, in checking old data, we found that an nrITS sequence from 175619 was a 100% match for the Texas sequence of sp-T31. This sequence was more complete than the previous one.

The cap color of the mature Texas specimen was a bit browner than the cap in the 175619 photos.

We have recieved this material and accessioned it to Rod’s Herbarium. We have scheduled it for DNA sequencing.
