Found in a frozen flower bed outside of Rotteburg restaurant in the Amana colony village.
This species is more beak shaped on the apexial gleba than that of G. saccatum. Very rare find.
Temp: 11 degrees.

I’m not totally convinced. This is not a very fresh specimen so I’d cut it some slack when it fails to mesh well with the original description, but I just don’t see anything plicate about the peristome and at least this individual is hardly saccate. This just looks nothing like the photos in Lloyd’s Geastrae nor the illustrations in Sunhede. That said; we have but one plant here, so it could be.
