I’m completely clueless as to what it is. It’s slimey underneath, and if you break it it’s yellow on the bottom layer. It was growing on riverbottom dirt with steer manure, and wood chips. (Hardwood, I think).

Neat! Thanks for educating me. After searching fuligo septica one thing becomes apparent to me: It has a variety of appearances, but every single one of them looks just like vomit. :)

Is it a layer of brown spores there? It looks like a large Fuligo septica.
