No specimen available

Many scattered on ground alongside dirt trail in mixed woods. I recognize this as Tremellodron pallidum, but think S. pallida may be “the new name”. Trying to keep up with name changes; correct me if I am wrong here.

due to the nomenclatural error. Sebacina schweinitzii has not been published yet, so you might want to keep using the old name for a bit so you don’t get stuck using a name that is about to change. You could also be presumptuous and call it the new name, under the assumption that it will get published that way.

According to Index Fungorum Record 808197, the species epithet should have been schweinitzii.
