Notes:
This agaricus was found open with white gills as shown. Over the day after picking the gills slowly turned pink then dark brown. No phenolic smell. Found in leaf clutter under mixed oaks & willows

Rick Kerrigan just commented on your daughter’s Agaricus, maybe he’ll have some input on this one!
This one did not have the same anise scent as those along the San Luis Rey. It smelled more like A. bisporus as I recollect. This is all from my memory 5 years ago though, haha. Plus the cap was more of a brownish color
