Firm, and smell nice

If you look closely at the original photo you can see faint growth zones (which isn’t always present with T. pubescens) and a fuzzy pubescent cap surface. The small angular pores (3 to 4 per mm with T. pubescens) also look typical. Also T. pubescens is not nearly as thin as T. versicolor or T. villosa, much thicker. That being said these features seem very close for Tyromyces chioneus also. Could be. Any info about scent and texture would be helpful. Was this fresh? Watery? Firm?

No growth zones as in trametes and not thin. How big was it and on what wood?
