Caps up to 8.5 cm across.
Spore print yellow and spores amyloid.
Spores ~ 6.2-8.8 X 5.9-7.0 microns, subglobose to broadly ellipsoid, with scattered warts up to 1 micron tall and no significant reticulation.
Apparently these are locally still being called R. aeruginea because current DNA analysis does not yet show large differences compared to European and other North American collections, but they do appear fairly different to what I’ve found in the SE.
