Notes:
Thick, dense fruiting bodies-fruiting somewhat hypogeously(similar to A. bitorquis) with immediate blood red staining where sliced/handled. This cement edged grass area of the arboretum is annually salted during winter months.

Flavor salty. Dense, thick universal veil and gill coverage with younger fruiting bodies.
