Observation 296724: Hohenbuehelia Schulzer

Notes:
This likely undescribed species joins the ranks of the several other graminicolous Hohenbuehelia spp., such as H. bonii, H. culmicola and H. ilerdensis. The latter also grows at the bases of Festuca, but it was described from Spain and bears little macromorphological resemblance to this collection.

Substrate: at the bases of Festuca orthophylla (“Wicho”)

Habitat: high-Andean Festuca alpine scrub

Ecoregion: Central Andean Dry Puna (NT1001)
