Observation 301831: Suillus tomentosus (Kauffman) Singer

Notes:
Found many of these with smooth weathered caps and no significant bluing reaction except slight bluing on the pores. I was stumped until we happened on this perfect group.

Recognized by sight: Bright red scales on pale yellow background, yellow context, yellow angular pores, lemon yellow stem with whitish then brown dots and red staining lower half, all parts bluing when bruised, on ground under 2 needle (hard pine)
