Notes:
Growing on a Tsuga canadensis stump. Bruising black when scratched. Some sections for microscopy with abundant dark, ellipsoid spores from (probably) an ascomycete. All parts inamyloid. Monomitic. Cystidia absent. Clamps present. Basidia 4-sterigmate. Basidia with sterigmata between 10.0 and 12.1 µm (6 measured). Spores smooth. Spore measurements from Piximetre: (5.9) 6 – 7.4 (8.8) × (5.2) 5.5 – 6.4 (7.2) µm, Q = 1 – 1.2 (1.3); N = 30, Me = 6.7 × 6 µm; Qe = 1.1
Individual spores: 6.35 × 5.90 µm, 6.41 × 5.75 µm, 7.30 × 5.96 µm, 6.02 × 5.48 µm, 6.88 × 5.57 µm, 6.51 × 6.28 µm, 7.42 × 5.90 µm, 5.90 × 5.78 µm, 6.81 × 5.96 µm, 8.75 × 7.22 µm, 6.49 × 6.38 µm, 6.67 × 5.87 µm, 8.18 × 6.28 µm, 6.00 × 5.75 µm, 6.12 × 5.58 µm, 6.52 × 5.55 µm, 7.79 × 6.44 µm, 7.00 × 6.05 µm, 6.05 × 5.19 µm, 6.38 × 5.51 µm, 6.08 × 5.36 µm, 6.41 × 6.03 µm, 6.57 × 5.75 µm, 7.39 × 6.82 µm, 6.25 × 5.76 µm, 7.36 × 5.85 µm, 7.34 × 6.63 µm, 6.08 × 5.66 µm, 6.19 × 6.04 µm, 6.54 × 6.25 µm
