First i have to thank my friend jack smith for showing me where and how to find these along with other little gems , if it werent for him i would be lost. Stopped at public access fishing area to park. Walked about 100 yds into a sunny yet covered area along the high water mark in recent flooding. Saw a dryads saddle first along with a few more. Stopped to pick the dryad saddle when we noticed the ovoid’s growing on half rotted wood near a muddy area similar to where you would find a morrel. Plants on the ground such as grass from last yr must be present. I will include a pic I took as an example of typical habitat this early so far.
